Wills and Trusts
Giving from your estate is a great way to support Denver Seminary and possibly avoid significant estate taxes. To determine whether a will or trust is right for you, review the information on wills and trusts in our Planning your Gift, Planning for the Future (1.1mb .pdf) booklet, call us with your questions, attend one of our stewardship seminars, and of course, consult your tax advisor.
As you map out your estate plan, whether with a will or a trust, please consider including Denver Seminary as a beneficiary. In so doing, we invite you to join the Legacy Society! The Legacy Society is comprised of alumni and friends who have included Denver Seminary in their estate plans. It's as simple as adding the following statement to your will or trust:
"Denver Seminary is to receive the sum of (indicate a specific percentage or amount). This bequest is unrestricted and the Board of Trustees or other governing body may use and expend the same for the benefit of Denver Seminary in any manner it deems appropriate."
If you list Denver Seminary as one of your beneficiaries, we encourage you to tell us. We can then add you to the Legacy Society with a growing list of others.
