Director of Financial Aid
General Statement of Duties
This position is directly responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state and institutional regulations. The director provides strategic direction related to cost, access, and the role of merit-based and need-based aid in recruitment (leveraging) and retention of students. Generation of data and statistical analysis are routine responsibilities supporting enrollment objectives. This position provides the overall management and leadership necessary for the effective administration of Denver Seminary student financial assistance programs and ensuring service to students, families and other constituents in relation to financial aid matters.
Education/Training/Skills
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years professional experience in a financial aid office; a solid working knowledge of various state, federal, and institutional aid programs; strong analytical skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and the ability to utilize software programs necessary to perform assigned functions are required.
