What is Denver Seminary's philosophy of ministry?

One of our professors expresses our philosophy of ministry well: "Leadership in ministry is a lifelong spiritual journey of pastors [and other ministry leaders] who grow in godliness and in their knowledge of self, others, and the work of God in their circumstances. Excellent ministry requires growth in being and doing as well as in knowing." We believe that this growth requires feedback and time -- time to develop not only in your ministry competencies but also in your character, and to become a self-directed lifelong learner.

What is Denver Seminary's teaching philosophy?

Denver Seminary specializes in teaching the philosophy and theology of ministry as well as its methodology, which changes with culture and technological advances. Denver Seminary students learn to intentionally design ministries relevant to the local contexts in which they serve.

Denver is also unique in its integration of the biblical studies department with the homiletics (preaching and exegesis) department. Whereas many seminaries separate the study of Greek and Hebrew from that of preaching, you'll learn to apply the ancient truths of the original texts to the modern world.
